AAAFRO is the PREMIER national organization dedicated to the advancement of the African American gun owner. Our goal is to provide an informative resource for education and training with a specific emphasis on the needs of the African American gun owner and enthusiast. We believe that every law abiding and capable African American who chooses to, should own a gun and have access to the best information on how to lawfully exercise their Second Amendment rights. We take our mission to educate a step further by also teaching how that relates to our hard-fought for civil rights by educating our members on how to interact with law enforcement and properly conduct themselves while not allowing their rights to be violated, through our “Carrying While Black” initiative. We provide unparalleled training in multiple weapons systems for the beginner who has never fired a shot, to the advanced shooter looking to take their skillset to the next level.

Voices of Our Armed Ancestors.

“A man’s rights rest in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.” – Frederick Douglass

“A Winchester rifle should have a place of honor in every black home, and it should be used for that protection which the law refuses to give.” – Ida B. Wells-Barnett
